English Major: English Education Concentration
All English education concentration students must complete the lower-division and upper-division core requirements below, as well as all requirements for the concentration. They also must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or higher in all courses credited toward their major. For admission to the APU teaching credential program, English education concentration students must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.0. NOTE: Appropriate substitutions or transfer credits for the English Education concentration must be approved by the department chair. This is a California Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC)-approved program that waives the English CSET exam.
